Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church reports break-in: Lakewood Police Blotter

LAKEWOOD, Ohio

Breaking and entering: Madison Avenue

Police responded at 7:35 a.m. Oct. 25 to Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church regarding a break-in. The entrance door was found open and a few items had been taken, according to a police report.

Impaired driving: Idlewood Avenue

An officer at 2:01 a.m. Oct. 31 observed a suspicious vehicle in the are of Idlewood Avenue and Clifton Boulevard and stopped the car to investigate. Police arrested the female driver, from Cleveland, on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence, fictitious license plates and driving under suspension.

Impaired driving: Mars Avenue

A Lakewood police officer at 11:26 a.m. Oct. 31 stopped a car on Mars Avenue near Hilliard Road and arrested a woman for operating a vehicle under the influence.

Theft: Detroit Avenue

A woman came to the police station at about noon Oct. 31 to report the theft from an apartment building of an Apple iPad valued at $360.

Theft: Belle Avenue

A woman came to the police station Oct. 29 to report that her son’s Chromebook had been stolen from a Belle Avenue residence.

Driving under the influence: Clifton Boulevard

Police at 4:08 a.m. Oct. 27 arrested a male driver on Clifton Boulevard near Webb Road for operating a vehicle while impaired.

Theft: Archdale Avenue

A complainant told police at about 9 a.m. Oct. 27 that a vehicle that had been left unlocked in a driveway had been entered overnight.

Theft: Belle Avenue

A caller told police Oct. 27 that their vehicle had been broken into overnight and items were taken.

Burglary: Lake Avenue

A resident contacted police at 10:17 p.m. Oct. 27 to report a possible burglary. The caller believed someone may have broken into their apartment because a screen and a door handle were damaged.

Theft: Detroit Avenue

Police responded at about noon Oct. 26 to Family Dollar on a report of a man filling his hoodie with store items and leaving the store without paying. Police found a suspect nearby and arrested him for shoplifting, disorderly conduct while intoxicated and resisting arrest.

Criminal damaging: Winchester Avenue

A complainant called police Oct. 26 to report that a tire had been slashed.
