Lineups vs. Astros for ALCS

Lineups vs. Astros for ALCS

Chad Green will open for the Yankees with their season on the line Saturday night, while the Astros will counter with Brad Peacock in what will be a bullpen-filled Game 6 of the ALCS.

Both teams opted for the trendy bullpen strategy with their top-line starters not having enough rest.

The Yankees are 11-4 when Green has opened this season, which usually consists of him pitching two innings and handing it off to the other relievers. Green has given up two earned runs in 5.2 innings through five playoff games this year.

If the Yankees can force a Game 7 in Houston, Luis Severino will go up against Astros ace Gerrit Cole.

Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton (quad) was not in the lineup for Game 6, after going 0-for-3 in his return to the lineup in the Yankees’ 4-1 win Friday night. He was replaced by the struggling Edwin Emcarmacon at DH.

Aaron Hicks, who had a pivotal three-run homer Friday, is batting cleanup.
