Duke and Duchess of Sussex to lay bare the 'world of pressure and pain behind the brave faces' in ITV documentary

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are to lay bare the “world of pressure and pain behind the brave faces” in a television documentary, their friend Tom Bradby has said.

The Duke and Duchess, who have both given interviews to Bradby as part of an ITV programme about their recent tour in Africa, will speak on camera about the “challenge and pressure of balancing their public duties and family life”.

Bradby, a friend of the Duke who has previously met the Duchess to discuss “press attention”, said his journey with the couple in Africa would “explain a lot”.

He had been granted special access to the couple to tell the full story of their visit to South Africa, joining the Duke for parts of his solo journey to Botswana, Angola and Malawi.

In a trailer for the show, which is due for broadcast on Sunday, October 20th, he said: “It was a journey, but not always the one I was expecting.
