Emerson Altamirano and Lucas Estevis scored a goal apiece to lead 20-seed Technology over 13th-seeded Bloomfield, 2-1, in the preliminary round of the Essex County Tournament in Bloomfield.
Quadri Okinola had one assist while goalkeeper Kevin Sabadin made 12 saves to secure the win for Technology (8-2), which improved its record in games decided by one goal to 3-0 on the season.
Technology has won five straight games and eight of its last nine.
Bloomfield falls to 4-8 with the loss.
