You might have seen a new mural appear at the corner of Race and Elder streets in Over-the-Rhine this week.

Or, rather, it might have seen you.

The mural is composed of three eyes, formed by a photo collage of OneSight team members, volunteers, patients, partners and community members. OneSight is the leading global nonprofit organization committed to delivering quality eye exams and glasses to under-served populations. Its global headquarters is located in Mason.

“OneSight is proud to call Cincinnati our home for over 30 years,” OneSight President and Executive Director K-T Overbey said in a press release. “This mural is a special moment for OneSight as it celebrates all of those in our community who come together for clear sight. We hope that this mural will invite those across our community to learn more about the impact of a pair of glasses and how they can join us in changing lives through clear sight.”

The mural was unveiled Thursday, one week before World Sight Day is celebrated on Oct. 10.

The mural was designed by Jonathan Willis, according to the press release. The phrase “WE ARE ONE SIGHT FOR ALL” is located next to the mural, along with a QR code that leads viewers to an online site where they can further engage with and learn about OneSight’s cause.
