Oct 2 | Technology Futurist to Speak at College Endowment Association


The College Endowment Association, founded in 1890, kicks off their 2019 – 2020 subscription Speaker Series on October 2, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Woman’s Club of Wisconsin, 813 E. Kilbourn Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.   The featured speaker is Ian Khan, a  Forbes magazine contributor  and featured technology futurist on CNN who will speak on “Vision of Our Future Through Technical  Advances”.

A three times TEDx speaker and author, Khan has worked for 20 years to help individuals and organizations understand the effects of technology in an easy-to-understand manners for audiences of varying knowledge of technology. He is the author of over 8 books. Some of these include Cloud Wars, The Internet of Things (IoT) A Concise Introduction, The Internet of Things & the Future of Innovation, Make Me Like You, 21 Steps & Get Ahead and Meaningful Conversations. He is also the Director of the highly acclaimed documentary “Blockchain City” and a frequent contributor to industry publications such as McGraw Hill Education, Huffington Post, & Techvibes.

A highly sought after expert, Khan has dedicated the last 20 years promoting technologies such as Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, and emerging technologies. He is a founding member of Internet of Things Association of Canada. Passionate about helping newer generations develop key technology understanding, Ian also hosts the Innovation Times podcast. A member of the Association of Global Futurists, and the World Future Society, Ian lives in Toronto, Canada with his wife and son.

This very special lecture is part of the College Endowment Association’s 2019 – 2020 Subscription Lecture Series which is open to men and women throughout the Greater Milwaukee area. It meets weekly for 17 lectures on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 am from October through February (except for a few weeks in December). 

Dues to join the College Endowment Association, a 501 C (3) non-profit educational organization, which includes admission to their Subscription Lecture Series, are $70.00 per person.  The College Endowment Association provides scholarships to women at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, the Milwaukee School of Art and Design, Lawrence University, the Medical College of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
