Though the two probably have their hands full with three kids, there have been rumors that they might end up having a fourth. But it could have a negative impact on their relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
There have been rumors that William and Kate might have a fourth baby
William and Kate welcomed their third child, Louis, in April 2018. Although the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are heading into their late 30s, they still appear to be in very good health, and a fourth baby might happen. Ever since Louis was born, there have been rumors that William and Kate are expecting another, though the public hasn’t been informed of anything of the sort. Though it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they did have a fourth (William is the future king, and it’s not uncommon for future kings or queens to have that many children), no announcements have been made yet.
Harry and Meghan have vowed to have two kids to protect the environment
Harry and Meghan have less pressure on their own family when it comes to having kids. Since Harry will most likely never rule, he doesn’t need to worry about having several backups to take the throne if anything ever happened to his oldest child. When speaking to activist Jane Goodall, Harry vowed that he and Meghan would have no more than two children; limiting the number of children could potentially help the environment. Many saw the comment as a dig toward Kate and William, who have been in talks to have a fourth.
A fourth baby for William and Kate could cause major tension with Harry and Meghan
If William and Kate do decide to have a fourth baby, it could create problems in their relationship with Harry and Meghan. Since Harry and Meghan are so focused on the environment, they might get upset with their in-laws for willingly having so many kids. “This place is borrowed,” Harry told Goodall, referring to the planet and having fewer kids. Should William and Kate have a fourth after Harry publicly pledged to only have two, it could create tension between the couples. Plus, it could also make for some side eye from Harry and Meghan when they continue to travel the world to help bring awareness to environmental concerns.
There have already been rumors the two couples aren’t on the best terms
The last thing these two couples need is tension. Over the
last year, there has been an abundance of speculation that things between the
in-laws are not well. Harry and William split their households several months
ago, leading some to believe the men don’t get along as well as they used to.
And ever since Meghan married into the family, there have been rumors of a feud
between her and Kate. Though none of the rumors have been confirmed, problems
could arise between the group, should William and Kate move forward with trying
to get pregnant.
