ELM MOTT, Texas (KWTX) The search is on for the second man accused of burglarizing a local pub by gaining entry through it’s ceiling.

McLennan County Sheriff’s deputies were out looking Tuesday for Tyler Montgomery.
They say the masked man is seen on surveillance footage stealing a cash drawer from Mac Daddy’s Pub in Elm Mott early Monday morning.
“A couple people have said they kind of recognize him, they’ve seen him in here before,” said Amanda Walker, bar manager at Mac Daddy’s Pub.
The cash box, which was found destroyed, contained less than a roll of quarters which is typical for the cash-only establishment, she says.
“For $9.75 in quarters, and they didn’t even get it, they’re going to be doing some jail time, for nothing basically,” said Walker. “You can’t fix stupid.”
Walker says they’re open 364 days a year, every day but Christmas, and the break-in didn’t change that; the bar was open and filled with regulars for $2 Tuesday.
“It upsets people because this is their place to go, but nothing’s going to break us,” said Walker.
She says the burglars entered the business through the roof, setting off alarms, sensors, and cameras inside.
“Apparently they came through the roof in our store room,” said Walker. “That’s how he got in, but he couldn’t figure how to get out.”
Walker says the masked man is seen panicking on camera when several doors he tried to exit through were padlocked–he finally found a side door to escape from, which, along with the roof, is now heavily secured.
“I don’t feel violated or anything but it just makes me mad, and now we have to do cleanup and everything, a new register, and it’s an expense we didn’t need,” said Walker.
Deputies responding to the businesses’ burglar alarm originally saw no signs of forced entry, however, they caught up with a vehicle they saw leaving the premises at a nearby gas station, arresting Zakary Lamb on outstanding warrants.
Montgomery was with him but was released at the time because the break-in hadn’t yet been confirmed–once the investigation got underway and deputies put the pieces together of how the burglary transpired, they obtained a warrant for Montgomery’s arrest.

“He’s probably hiding somewhere, but you can’t hide forever,” said Walker.
Authorities believe Montgomery and his alleged partner in crime, Lamb, may be responsible for more thefts in the area.
Lamb was charged by the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office with failure to identify as a fugitive, evading arrest, resisting arrest, and burglary of a building in addition to seven separate charges filed by the Waco Police Dept.
He remained in custody in the McLennan County Jail Tuesday night in lieu of bonds totaling $270,000, so far.
