Texas vs. Rice score: Live game updates, highlights, college football scores, full coverage

An old Southwest Conference once-rivalry gets a reboot on Saturday as No. 12 Texas heads to Houston’s NRG Stadium to take on Rice. The neutral-site game marks the first time the two teams have met since 2015, though it’s the 95th meeting between the teams. The ‘Horns have dominated the series during and after their SWC days, owning an impressive 72-21-1 record over the Owls. Texas enters as a 30.5-point favorite, and NRG Stadium should be predominantly filled with burnt orange come kickoff at 8 p.m. ET.

Quarterback Sam Ehlinger leads a Texas offense that put up 530 yards in a close loss to No. 4 LSU in Week 2. Wide receiver Devin Duvernay should be an X-factor again after leading the team with 154 yards receiving and two scores against the Tigers. Can Rice find enough offense to keep up? Harvard transfer Tom Stewart did OK filling in for Wiley Green against Wake Forest, but this is a much taller task. CBS Sports will be with you the entire way updating this story with live scores and highlights from the game.
