BREAKING: Oswego police attempting to locate man in Churchill Club, Fox Bend Golf Course area

Oswego police are seeking to locate a male Hispanic who may be armed with a gun in the vicinity of the Fox Bend Golf Course and Churchill Club subdivision off Douglas Road.

Initial reports indicate the man was involved in a domestic dispute.

Police have set up a perimeter in the area of Douglas Road, Route 34, Wolf’s Crossing Road, Yoakum Drive, Fifth Avenue and Bluegrass Parkway and are using a K-9 unit in attempt to locate the man.

Wolf’s Crossing Road is shutdown at Douglas Road.

Traffic is being affected.

Churchill Club School, which had been placed on lockdown, was dismissing students as of 4:30 p.m.

Police have issued this statement: “Oswego Police are advising a heavy police presence in the area of Wolf Crossing Road between Southbury and Douglas South. Police are attempting to locate a male reported to have a gun with him.

“He was last seen on foot near Douglas and Wolf and is described as a male Hispanic wearing a white tee shirt, black shorts with white stripe, black curly hair. If you encounter or see anyone matching the description, please call 9-1-1, do not engage with the individual.”
