Baltimore Ravens set franchise record 59 points

After setting a franchise record for first-half points, the Baltimore Ravens have now broken their single-game points record with 59.

The first week of the 2019 regular season has been kind to the Baltimore Ravens, to say the least. Many predicted the Miami Dolphins to tank the 2019 season away, despite their reports that they’d do the opposite. Whelp, if week one is any indication of things to come, it appears that that’s exactly what will be going on in South Beach this year.

The Baltimore Ravens rolled in Miami, Florida with one thing in mind: Let’s dominate the Dolphins for 60 minutes. It all started in the first quarter, where Baltimore put up 42 points. That itself was a team record for first-half points. Apparently, it wasn’t the only points record the team wanted to break vs. Miami.

When the second-half came around, the Ravens wanted to pick up where the left off. They did just that and kept their foot on the gas pedal. Baltimore dropped 17 more points in the second-half of the game, bringing their total to 59 points. Unsurprisingly, this is a franchise-best for points in a single-game.

This is entirely unbelievable. Lamar Jackson has absolutely dominated as a passer. Jackson topped 300+ passing yards with five touchdown passes and a perfect 158.3 passer rating. Jackson’s best friends, Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews, have also put on a show. Each went over 100-yards receiving and at least one touchdown. “Hollywood” Brown has gone as far as record two touchdowns of over 43-yards (one going for 83-yards), both being his first career receptions.

New running back Mark Ingram came to play, as well, rumbling for over 100 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The defense has come up with three sacks and two interceptions coming via Earl Thomas and Marlon Humphrey. Nothing has gone wrong for the Ravens vs. the Miami Dolphins.

Next: Baltimore Ravens have been wise to avoid Antonio Brown saga

From start to finish, this game was an butt-kicking. There was blood in the water early, and the Baltimore Ravens showed no mercy. This is hopefully not a one week wonder for the team, but it was a spectacle nonetheless that Ravens Flock enjoyed thoroughly.
