BREAKING: Trump Administration Making Major Move To Build Border Wall

The Trump administration is reportedly planning to enact a plan to divert $3.6 billion from military construction projects to build the border wall on the southern border.

Politico reports that the administration has already started to call lawmakers whose congressional districts “will take a hit,” as a result of the decision.

“Defense Secretary Mark Esper called Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday to detail the cash grab, explaining that about half of the funding will come from military construction projects outside the United States and half will come from projects within the country,” Politico reported.

The move comes after the United States Supreme Court ruled in late July that the Trump administration could use $2.5 billion in military funding to build the border wall.

“The high court’s order temporarily settles just one of several skirmishes between the Trump administration and House Democrats, ‘blue’ states led by California, and environmental groups over border wall funds,” USA Today reported at the time. “The court’s five conservative justices lifted an injunction against the border wall spending that had been imposed by a federal district court judge in California and affirmed by a federal appeals court. The injunction blocked spending while the lawsuit challenging it remains pending at the appeals court. “
