Mirror Online continues its hot streak this summer, according to official industry results from Comscore.
Following June’s record-breaking performance, in July it firmly held on to its newly-won position as the second ranking news site in the UK with over 25 million unique visitors – ahead of both the Guardian and Mail, and widening the gap between both.
The Mirror was ahead of the Mail by 4.8 million in July compared to 3.7 million in June, and the Mirror was ahead of the Guardian by 2 million in July 2019 compared to 1.7 million in June.
Year on year figures show dramatic growth for the Mirror’s digital audience, with a 17% multiplatform increase compared to last July, and a 23% year on year increase on mobile.
Ben Rankin, Editorial Director at Mirror Online said: “The Mirror has had a phenomenal summer and we’re confident that the strategic changes we’ve made this year will continue to bear fruit.
“We’re only getting better and faster on the content that readers love us for – breaking news, showbiz and sport – and we’re growing our team to match these ambitions.
“If The Sun isn’t already feeling us nipping at their heels, they should be.”
