Event to focus on future of health care

Dr. Lynda Chin, a co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Apricity Health LLC, will deliver the keynote address Sept. 19 at the annual Arkansas Health and Business Symposium at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock.

The symposium is billed as an opportunity for leaders in business, health care and government from around the state to discuss the future of health care and how new digital infrastructure can lead to healthier and more productive workers, according to a news release.

Chin, who also is an adjunct oncology professor at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, will discuss how integrating data, technology and analytics will change the future model for health care.

Chin’s company develops prescription digital therapeutics that incorporate real-time patient data to provide precise and personal management of patients with cancers and other serious diseases.

After her presentation, a panel of Arkansas business and health care leaders will discuss how integrating data will improve the state’s health care infrastructure.

The half-day symposium is from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. It is sponsored by the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
