Why Is Hannah Brown Making An Appearance On ‘Bachelor In Paradise’?

Demi Burnett

The last Bachelor In Paradise preview revealed that we’ll be seeing Hannah Brown on our screens once again in the near future.

This isn’t the first time Brown’s been involved in Paradise drama this season. She was seen talking to her good friend and Paradise participant Demi Burnett about Burnett’s sexuality in the first episode of the season. Burnett told Brown that, back in Los Angeles, she’s been dating a woman.

“We really fell, like, head-over-heels for each other. She has, like, the warmest energy,” Burnett told Brown. “Like, she never gets mad, like, she’s amazing.”

Since the episode aired, Brown has said she feels honored Burnett felt comfortable enough in their relationship to talk to her about her feelings.

“I was really thankful that she valued our relationship and our friendship as much as I do,” Brown told HollywoodLife. “She is one of the first people I confide in when I have something that I’m going through, and that she wanted to talk to me about this big next step in her life really shows how strong our relationship is. It makes me so thankful for the opportunity I’ve had to be in the Bachelor franchise and the relationships that it does form — even if they’re not romantic. It’s the friendships that are really awesome.”

Burnett has been met with some online hate after coming out as bisexual, but she’s also received an outpouring of love and support.

Burnett received one particularly hateful message on Twitter. She posted the message to her page along with the caption: “Twitter do your thing,” and she received a ton of supportive messages in return.

“I can’t even begin to comprehend nor fathom this disgusting message. As a brother of a sister who’s lesbian, just know Demi, there’s nothing more beautiful than supporting those who get judged because of their gender preference. Demi we love you,” tweeted Chris Randone.

“Sorry you have to put up with this shit D…. Respect the hell out of you,” wrote Garrett Powell from Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette

“The hate below is absolutely abominable! Bravo to Demi for breaking barriers in The Bachelor Franchise and on a National Network in the pursuit of love and happiness. Regardless of your sexual preference, love is love is love. I support LGBTQ today and every damn day!” responded Jason Tartick from Becca Kufrin’s season.

Demi Burnett and Derek Peth

Burnett has said that she’s come to Paradise to fully explore all her options. From the beginning of the season, she’s had a connection with contestant Derek Peth. In the last episode, Burnett told Peth that she’d been dating a woman back in Los Angeles and he was appreciative she was honest with him. But it seems Burnett grows more torn by the day.

Why Hannah Brown comes to ‘Paradise’

It’s looking like Brown makes an appearance on the beach this summer to continue her conversation with Burnett. Burnett is struggling–torn between her new connection with Peth and missing the woman she fell for in Los Angeles. We’re betting Brown is brought on to talk to her friend, be a listening ear, and share some advice.
