MADISON (WKOW) — The Madison Police Department is in a standoff with a suspect on Monona Drive Thursday morning, according to police officials.
A news release said at about 1:30 a.m. MPD responded to a report of a shot being fired at a home in the 4000 block of Monona Drive. No injuries or damage was reported from that shot.

Officers arrived and established a perimeter. They tried to speak with the 52-year-old male suspect, but they haven’t heard from him yet.
Authorities said additional tactical resources are being called into the area to help.
Monona Drive between Cottage Grove Road and Buckeye Road are closed while crews are on scene.
