Healthwise and Your Healthy Future

Do you ever wish you had the perfect health care book to assist you in staying healthy and out of trouble? A self care guide that you could trust, written in plain English to help you in your later years? I think we all would like to have something like that on our shelves at home, indeed, I do. In fact, when I saw a book like that I bought it and it’s still on my personal book shelves to this day.

It’s a book I know that you will enjoy and cherish as much as I, so without further introduction I hereby recommend the following book to you:

“Healthwise for Life; A Medical Self Care Guide for You” by Molly Mettler, MSW; Donald W. Kemper, MPH; Editor Carrie A. Wiss; and Steven L. Schneider Medical Editor; Healthwise Incorporated, Boise, ID; 2000. (Sanctioned by the Department of Veteran Affairs.)

This book has information on both men and women’s health concerns and it discusses the changing demographics and how people are living longer, happier and healthier lives than at any other time in our great nation’s history. It also warns of the pitfalls if you fail to take care of yourself, hygiene and ailments. This book has chapters on:

  • Diabetes
  • Arthritis
  • Headaches
  • Dental Issues
  • Fitness
  • Nutrition
  • Mental Health

And how to live with independence in old age, caregiver situations and home health care tips. This book is one of the best books I’ve ever read on senior healthy living in retirement. It is also a book I highly recommend to you and your loved ones. I hope you will go and pick up the most recent edition for yourself or your folks. Please consider this.
