BREAKING: Detroit Lions sign QB Josh Johnson

According to reports, the Detroit Lions are signing QB Josh Johnson.

The Lions were reportedly working out Johnson and Landry Jones this morning.

Johnson comes to Detroit after appearing in four games (three starts) for the Washington Redskins in 2018, where he completed 52-of-91 passes (57.1 percent) for 590 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 23 rushing attempts for 120 yards (5.2 avg.) and one score last season.

Johnson originally entered the League with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who selected him in the fifth round (160th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft out of San Diego. Appearing in games for the Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals and Redskins in his career, Johnson owns totals of 33 games played (eight starts), 1,632 passing yards, eight passing touchdowns, 394 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
