Triple Crown Concrete recently unveiled a pink concrete truck at Baptist Health Richmond, which painted pink to raise awareness for breast cancer and support cancer patients.

For every yard of concrete delivered in our area, Triple Crown Concrete will donate a percentage of sales directly to Paint the Town Pink. Paint the Town Pink is a community campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer and support local cancer charities.

When asked why Triple Crown Concrete chose to champion breast cancer awareness initiatives, Mel Howard, general manager, said, “You can’t go very far without seeing someone affected by breast cancer. It not only affects the person with the cancer, but their entire family. Many of our coworkers and our customers have someone in their life that has been affected by this disease. Cancer is so wide-spread, and we want to help. Triple Crown Concrete wants to give back to the many communities it serves.”

“As the health care leader in our community, it is our responsibility to provide the best quality and compassionate care for all patients – especially patients and families who are fighting a cancer diagnosis,” said Greg D. Gerard, president of Baptist Health Richmond. “We truly appreciate Triple Crown Concrete and their initiative to support cancer patients in our community. Their partnership is a wonderful example of how supportive our community is to ensure every patient receives the best care and experience at our hospital.”
