ATLANTA – Police are investigating a shooting that left at least two people injured near the Five Points MARTA station and Underground Atlanta on Saturday evening.
Police a man and a woman were shot near Alabama and Broad streets.
We’re learning what led up to the shooting, for the Channel 2 Action News Nightbeat at 11 p.m.
Police said the shooter left the scene and is believed to have been shot in the hip.
Channel 2’s Michael Seiden is at the scene, where police put down multiple crime scene markers.
Witnesses told Seiden they heard around 15 gunshots.
Viewers sent Channel 2 Action News photos of multiple police cars in the area and streets blocked off by police tape.
It’s unclear what condition the victims are in. The were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
Seiden learned that police are checking to see if surveillance cameras at nearby stores captured the shooting.

MARTA service is continuing to operate normally, officials said.
