These past five months have been pretty hectic for Jordyn Woods.
Aside from traveling around the world landing modeling and acting gigs, Woods was faced with the most life changing event this past February.
After the whole Tristan Thompson scandal and losing her best friend, Kylie Jenner, many would have expected Jordyn Woods to go through a whirlwind of emotions.
Though the first few weeks following the scandal were hard on her, Woods is now looking on the brighter side of things and doing her best to continue to remain positive.
Jordyn Woods isn’t dwelling on the past
Seeing all of your drama with television’s most famous family play out in the public eye was probably the hardest thing Jordyn Woods has ever had to endure in her life.
Though most wouldn’t be able to handle all of the stress that comes along with drama, Jordyn Woods is doing her best to not let the negativity get the best of her.
Aside from having the Kardashian family publicly shame her along with losing her best friend, many of us assumed that the model would have a hard time coping with everything.
Instead of dwelling on that dark time in her life, Jordyn Woods has some tricks when it comes to staying positive and keeping everything in perspectives.
“You just have to fully live every emotion that you go through, and understand that your purpose is bigger than you,” Woods explained in a recent interview with PEOPLE. “You define who you are, nothing else. Just really stay true to yourself and keep positive people around you. If you can understand that life happens for you and not against you, you can really remain positive.”
Though it was hard in the beginning, Jordyn Woods eventually started to look on the brighter side of things and hasn’t let the negativity slow down her journey to success.
Staying busy has helped her cope with all of the drama
Though Jordyn Woods lost the people she once considered close family to this whole cheating scandal, the model hasn’t had to suffer too much from it.
So far, Woods has been thriving in her modeling career, launched her very own lash line, and has even started testing out the waters in the acting field.
While Jordyn Woods was going through it after dealing with the aftermath of the cheating scandal, she has even applied her own personal coping mechanisms to the character Dee— a college freshman struggling with emotional issues —she plays on Grown-ish.
In the episode, Woods is able to add to the discussion surrounding access to mental health resources, particularly in the black community, and that is something that the model says was an added bonus to appearing on the series.
“As a young adult myself, it was a cool way of being a part of a bigger conversation,” she told PEOPLE when discussing her role on Grown-ish. “And then the episode happened to be on mental health, which was even more important to me to discuss.”
With all of the changes happening in Jordyn Woods’ life, the model has shown the world the one mistake has not defined her character and will continue to showcase positivity on a daily basis.
