Coneflower burglary related to attempted salon break-in

Investigators believe the same people seen on camera burglarizing Coneflower Creamery Sunday morning are the same people who tried to break into Salon Extasy Sunday night.Shawna Anderson, the owner of Salon Extasy in Council Bluffs, said she’s she’s had indoor surveillance for years. But after an attempted break-in earlier this month, she installed an outdoor camera Saturday.On Sunday, Anderson got alerts on her phone about another attempted break-in.Anderson said she feels “flat out rage, because we work so hard — especially, with a small business.”Surveillance video shows what appears to be a man and a woman trying to break into the salon. Both of them use what looks like a crowbar.Coneflower Creamery Owner Brian Langbehn wasn’t so lucky. Coneflower was burglarized Sunday morning.”All the cash registers, safe, my laptop had been taken,” said Langbehn. “Even some personal items, like a jacket and our cookie display dome.”Footage of the burglary also shows footage of what appears to be a man, a woman and a silver van.Both owners said they’re grateful for the support they’ve received from the community but they want to see the two thieves caught.”When you know somebody, you know the way they move and you can recognize them fairly easily,” said Anderson. “So, somebody somewhere knows these two people.”Omaha police are working with the Council Bluffs Police Department to identify the two people on the surveillance footage.
