Man wanted for breaking $8,000 Jesus statue in Westchase

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A man is wanted for breaking a statue of Jesus worth $8,000 in Westchase.

Police say the suspect went to a business located in the 2400 block of South Dairy Ashford Road sometime between April 26 and April 27.

According to authorities, the suspect grabbed the stone statue by the head and knocked it over.

Surveillance video captured the suspect during the incident.

The suspect is described as a black man around 28 to 32 years old. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
