Taperoo: Men allegedly break into old police academy | The Pulse

Three young boys, as young as 10, have been arrested after allegedly breaking into a school in Whyalla Norrie not once, but twice.

The first break-in occurred on Saturday just before 7.30pm at a local school on Nicolson Ave.

The library door was significantly damaged, but police were unable to find the boys.

On Sunday afternoon, however, patrols responded to yet another break-in at the school.

They chased down two boys through the school grounds and arrested them.

The third youth was caught on Monday following investigations.

All three boys, aged 12 and 10, have been charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, property damage and theft.

After being granted bail, they will appear in the Whyalla Youth Court at a later date.

Police ask the public to help keep our schools safe during the school holidays and report any suspicious activity in or around school grounds immediately on 131 444.
