AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT)— Search crews have found the body of the teen boy who jumped into the river.

The sheriff’s office says the coroner was called out to the scene but added, the drowning victim’s identity will not be released.


AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT)– A teen boy jumped into the river during a party at a home on Alberclauss Drive, Richmond County Sheriff says. Augusta Fire and Rescue are out on the water searching for the teenager.

RCSO got the call around 10 o’clock about a possible drowning. The family told police some relatives jumped into the water, trying to find the teen but he never turned up.

According to the sheriff’s office, dive teams are on the way to assist with the search.
