MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com)- A local
church was seen giving back to their community in a healthy way on Saturday.
The New Covenant in Christ and Seeds of
Greatness hosted their Community Wide Awareness and Health Fair in Hickory Hill.
Our Local 24 News Anchor Katina Rankins was
there to moderate the fair.
The event gave people a chance to get free
health screenings that could help save their lives.
“We’re continuing to lay the foundation for the
service that we want to render in this community,” said Clifford R. Causey,
pastor of New Covenant in Christ. “So we want to make sure that we are holistically
approaching the needs of this community that means from information to job
placement, job training, health screening so we just we want to do it all and
be that one stop place that community needs as a resource.”
The fair also offered food, games and face
painting for the kids.
