UPDATE: 12:20 ET

KSL-5 TV reports that Salt Lake City police have confirmed that one of the men taken into custody Friday is being detained in relation to the investigation of Mackenzie Lueck’s disappearance.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Salt Lake City police arrested two suspects on Friday and have scheduled a news conference for updates on the missing persons search for Mackenzie Lueck.

The Deseret News reports that police took two men into custody at 1028 S. West Temple Friday morning, which is not the same address that was raided earlier this week, with police reportedly digging holes in the yard on the property.

According to the report, police did not “confirm or deny” if the arrests were related to the search for the missing 23-year-old, last seen on June 17. Salt Lake City police said in a news conference on Thursday that they had identified the homeowner of the property that was searched as a person of interest in the case, but declined to name him.

Salt Lake City police are holding a news conference shortly to share developments on the case. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
