Jordan is sandwiched between Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Israel. The very famous Dead Sea, which we are all aware of, is situated along this territory. Travel agencies world wide have rated the people of Jordan as one of most warm and welcoming hosts that any traveller could ever think of.

For the travellers interested in religion, Jordan is the place to be. The Fortress of Muwakir plays a very important role in the history of religion. Apparently, Mount Nebo is the place where Moses had a glimpse of the Promised Land before he died. Then there is Madaba, which is again a very religious site that has the Madaba Map. This Map is said to be the oldest description of the Holy Land dating back to the 6th Century. There is also the famous Jordan River where Jesus was baptised.

If you are a keen lover of sea view and love to enjoy the night life then Aqaba is the town for you. It is popular for its magnificent coral reefs and unparalleled marine life that comes along. Many parties and concerts are held in Aqaba by international DJs.

If you are a peace lover and love to be in tranquillity then the place to venture out is Wadi Rum. This desert is situated in the southern region of the country and is covered in hills and mountains.

One of the best sites of Jordan is Petra. This whole city is beautifully carved in stone and has made its place among the new Seven Wonders of the World. To achieve this prestigious status Petra outdid the other well – known sites like Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Machu Picchu in Peru. Petra truly deserves to be called the world’s most spectacular city. When in Petra, a visit to the surrounding village is inevitable.

The climate in Jordan is semi-dry in summer with average temperature in the mid 30 °C and relatively cold in winter averaging around 13°C. Jordan has ample of things to do and offer. It is next to impossible for anyone to get bored. So it won’t be unlikely if you find the time slipping quickly.
