The first reported offence was committed in North Street, between 01:25 and 02:00 on Thursday, June 6.

Officers say a 27-year-old woman was targeted when she returned to a flat in the city centre and was approached by the suspect and sexually assaulted.

The second alleged assault happened in North West Road, between 04:45 and 05:00 the same day, when a 19-year-old woman was targeted as she walked home from a night out.

West Yorkshire Police is linking the same suspect to a further three incidents where women were followed.

In one of them a woman being followed in Meadow Lane was chased across the car park of Asda House but was able to get away.

Det Insp James Entwistle said: “One of the women he followed took pictures of him and he is clearly identifiable to anyone who knows him.

“I’d like to hear from anyone who recognises him or who has seen him in the vicinity of any of these incidents.”
