Police activity in Woodland Park, authorities ask nearby residents to shelter in place

WOODLAND PARK, Colo. (KKTV) – Authorities were asking the public to avoid a neighborhood on Tuesday for “police activity” in Woodland Park.

Police were on scene in the area of Center Street and Gunnison Avenue just north of Memorial Park. An alert went out to nearby residents at about 7:45 p.m.

The alert asked nearby neighbors to “shelter in place, lock doors and stay away from windows.”

The Woodland Park Police Department is reporting there was a domestic incident with multiple gunshots in the 600 block of N. Pine Street. The incident started at 6:41 p.m.
