Henry Cejudo became a two-division UFC champion on Saturday night when he scored a third-round TKO win over Marlon Moraes. He entered the contest as the UFC flyweight champion and captured the vacant UFC bantamweight title with his win over Moraes.

UFC 238 took place at United Center in Chicago. The pay-per-view card streamed on ESPN+ following prelims on ESPN and UFC Fight Pass.

The event set a record for the most significant strikes landed in a single fight card with a total of 1,818.

Cejudo became the fourth UFC fighter to hold two titles at the same time with his win over Moraes. He joins Conor McGregor, Daniel Cormier and Amanda Nunes in that sect group of fighters.

Valentina Shevchenko successfully defended her UFC flyweight title with a brutal second-round knockout win over Jessica Eye. The stoppage was Shevchenko’s first knockout as a member of the UFC roster.

With his TKO win over Donald Cerrone, Tony Ferguson extended his UFC lightweight record winning streak to 12 in a row.

Ferguson is now tied with Cerrone for third in most finishes in UFC lightweight history with 10.

Petr Yan remained unbeaten as a UFC bantamweight when he defeated Jimmie Rivera by unanimous decision. The win gave him the longest active win streak in the UFC bantamweight division with five straight victories.

Tatiana Suarez scored a unanimous decision win over Nina Ansaroff. The victory gave her the longest active winning streak in the UFC women’s strawweight division with five victories in a row.

Aljamain Sterling won his fourth consecutive bantamweight fight with a decision victory over Pedro Munhoz.

Sterling set a UFC bantamweight record for significant strikes landed with 174. He attempted 349 total significant strikes for a 49 percent landing percentage.

Alexa Grasso returned from more than a year off to score a unanimous decision victory over former UFC women’s strawweight title Karolina Kowalkiewicz. Grasso missed her three previously scheduled bouts due to injury.

Calvin Kattar scored his second consecutive first-round knockout when he stopped Ricardo Lamas at the 4:06 mark of their featherweight fight.

Yan Xiaonan defeated Angela Hill in a women’s strawweight contest. The win was her fourth straight, which ties her for the longest active win streak in the division.

Hill became the first UFC fighter to three bouts in 2019 when she faced Xiaonan.

Eddie Wineland ended a two-fight losing skid with a second-round TKO win over Grigory Popov. The win gave Wineland, who has been with the WEC/UFC since 2006, his 11th career win in the WEC/UFC bantamweight division. Only Dominick Cruz and T.J. Dillashaw have more wins in the division with 12.

Wineland’s TKO win was his eighth with the WEC/UFC. No 135-pound fighter has more knockout wins than Wineland. 

With her win over Joanne Calderwood in the opening fight of the night, Katlyn Chookagian tied for the most wins in the UFC women’s flyweight division with three.

Calderwood was very aggressive with her leg kicks in the women’s 125-pound matchup, she landed 68 leg kicks during the 15-minute matchup against Chookagian to set a new UFC three-round record. 

Calderwood’s loss was her first defeat as a competitor in the UFC women’s flyweight division.
